Prairie Poetry
  Planting The Land

Hardship brushed aside
for the beauty of evening
and a grass sea prairie.

Poetry and conviction
in the minds of those
returning from the fields.

A scythe, a bedstead,
seedlings in buckets,
the enamel of life.
